The birds and the bees, and the babies with the trees

Posted by on November 16, 2011

Dear Moms,

As I search the internet for nursery inspiration I keep getting smacked with a search key theme in baby rooms.  Trees.

Some go floral:

Some go modern:

Some go creepy and literal:

But trees are everywhere! What is the symbolism?  Do you want your kid to grow up strong and tall like a tree.  Do you subconsciously want to give them strong roots for their futures?  Or maybe deep down you are already looking forward to the day when they can make like a tree and leave you alone. Whatever the case, the urge is strong.  I myself have contemplated adding some Lorax inspire Trufflura trees to my Dr. Seuss scheme.

I rejected the notion.

Love,
